Standards and benchmarks of Berkley’s music curriculum include creative activity, cross-curriculum issues and higher-level thinking skills.  Music benchmarks include creating, performing, and responding to music. We believe that music enhances the quality of our lives by extending the boundaries of our thinking, providing an important means for self-expression and personal fulfillment, and by aiding in the development of confidence and self-discipline.

Middle and high school choirs, bands and orchestras practice and perform throughout the year. Our elementary curriculum focuses on the basics of music education, also highlighted in "informances" throughout the school year, a place where their skills are "performed" for the parents and community.  K-4 students participate in a general music curriculum while the 5th grade students elect to participate in band, orchestra or choir.
