People who demonstrate an awareness of and a commitment to the educational needs of the Berkley School District are eligible to serve on the Berkley Educational Foundation Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors is comprised of not less than five (5) and not more than twenty-five (25) people elected by the members of the Berkley Educational Foundation, hence the Berkley School District Board of Education.
 
The Board of Directors includes a member of the Berkley School District Board of Education and Berkley Area PTA Council as well as the Berkley School District Superintendent, a Bargaining Unit Representative, citizens of the communities of Berkley, Huntington Woods, and Oak Park, Michigan and parents/guardians of Berkley School District students.
 
The Board of Directors meets monthly, September through June, usually on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Avery Center Conference Room.
