Angell Students Celebrate Peace Day
On Friday, September 18, Angell Elementary students celebrated the International Day of Peace by gathering in the gym for their Peace Day Assembly. Gale Tosto, a fifth-grade teacher and organizer of Peace Day, explained the importance of Peace Day to students. She also shared a story centered on peace and this year’s World Peace Day theme, “Lift Up Your World.”
Ms. Mauiri and the fifth-grade choir then performed “We Will Lift Up This World,” with the entire school joining in on the chorus.
Principal Matthew Provost shared, “It was both a heartwarming and inspiring morning."
