BHS Marching Band Performs at Little Caesars Arena

BHS Marching Band Performs at Little Caesars Arena

On Monday, January 19th, the BHS Marching Band had the opportunity to perform ahead of the Pistons vs Celtics game. The band performed a song from their 2025 show on the court, something that has never been done at a Pistons game. Marching Band Director Jon Thomann worked with Norup Band teacher Carole Hoste to secure the performance. Mr. Thomann explained to the Pistons staff that due to construction, the Band had to think outside the box to design a show that could be rehearsed inside a gym. This creativity led to choosing a boxing theme and creating an actual boxing ring with the band. The Pistons loved this idea, and invited BHS to perform.

Mr. Thomann shared, “It was an awesome experience for the band students, and I think everyone had a great time. It is one of the most memorable experiences I have had the honor and privilege to share with my students.” Mr. Thomann thanked the BHS and District leadership for organizing and supporting the transportation of this fun event
