On Friday, August 21, 34 members of the BHS Class of 1976 visited Berkley High School for a tour. Athletic Director Matt Rawlik, a fellow BHS graduate, led the alumni through the halls of Berkley High School. The group explored the athletic facilities, the updated science classes, a traditional classroom, the office addition as well as the newly renovated performing arts wing.
Jens Kuehne, reunion organizer shared, “On behalf of the ‘Class of ’76 Reunion Committee’ and my fellow classmates, I would like to thank you for providing us with a tour of Berkley High School. It was wonderful and everyone enjoyed it immensely. We were all very pleased and impressed with how well the school was looking and up to date. We really appreciated being able to see the old & new gyms, the pool, administrative offices, classrooms, science center, library, cafeteria, auditorium, and the new choir room. The Bear Complex looked extremely impressive. You have every reason to be proud of all of it. …Friendships were rekindled and stories of our lives were shared. But woven through all of that was the lasting impact that our teachers had on us and the wonderful experience we had at Berkley High. For that, and for allowing us to visit our past, I, we wanted to say ‘thank-you."
