GSRP/Head Start

Berkley Building Blocks offers both Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) and Head Start. Grant funded programs are free to qualifying families. Preschool programs for children ages 3-5 years old are full day programs with meals provided.

Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

Michigan’s state-funded preschool program for four-year-old children. The program is administered by the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Great Start.

Early Head Start

A federally funded program for children ages birth to three (3). This program provides support to families with infants and toddlers as well as pregnant women, at no cost to the family. Early Head Start enhances children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual development and more.

Head Start

A federal program that promotes the school readiness of young children from low-income families by supporting the comprehensive development of children from birth to age five (5).
