Which childcare program is right for you?
Program Descriptions
- School Year Programs: A schedule for students attending a full day, following the Berkley School District Teachers' Calendar from September - June.
- Year Round Programs: A schedule for students attending a full day, following the Year Round Calendar from July - June.
- Half Day Preschool: A schedule for students attending a half-day program, following the Berkley School District Teachers' Calendar from September-June.
Schedule Options
Program Hours NEW for 24-25*
*Effective July 1, 2024
- Infants, Toddlers, and Early Preschool 3's, Pre-K Tuition: Full day 10-hour schedule: 7:30 am - 5:30pm
- Sunshine Club Half Day: 8:30am-12:00pm
- Pre-K for All Half Day - 8:30am-11:30am, or 12:30pm-3:30pm
- Pre-K for All Full Day - 8am- 3pm
- Play, Learn Connect schedule: 8:30am-11am
- Before and After care for Pre-K Braided rooms only: 7:30-8am and 3:30-5:30pm
Program Day Options
- Infant room students follow a 5 day a week schedule
- Young Toddler, Older Toddler and Preschool classroom students have an option to attend 2 days a week up to 5 days a week
- Sunshine Club Half Day 2-3 days a week ; Tuesday/Thursday, or Monday/Wednesday/Friday
- Pre-K for All Half Day meets Mondays -Thursdays
- All Pre-K students must attend 4-5 days a week.
- Play, Learn, Connect Playgroup meets Mondays -Thursdays
Classroom Age Requirements
- Infant classrooms: 6 weeks - 1 year
- Young Toddler classrooms: 1 - 2 year olds
- Older Toddler classrooms: 2 - 3 year olds (non-potty trained)
- Preschool classrooms: 3 - 4 year olds (fully potty trained)
- Sunshine Club: (half day preschool) 3 - 4 year olds (fully potty trained)
- Pre-K for All classrooms: 4-5 year olds (fully potty trained)
- Pre-K for All Half Day: (half day preschool) 4 - 5 year olds (fully potty trained)
- Play, Learn, Connect Playgroup: (half day preschool) 3-5 year olds (fully potty trained)

Sunshine club and Play Learn Connect Enrollment open for 3's
Enrollment for Sunshine Club (3-4 years old) and Play, Learn, Connect (3-5 years old) is open from 3/20/24 until 4/3/24. Priority will be given to currently enrolled students and Berkley School District Residents.
All other full time and half day programs will begin enrolling shortly! Thank you for your patience.

If you would like to be placed on the waiting list please fill out the form below then email Andrea Megroet. We will contact you when a spot becomes available. We prioritize Berkley School District families across all programs. We can add nonresidents to the tuition based wait list for Infants- Preschoolers.

Monthly tuition payments are to be made or mailed to: Berkley School District, 14501 Talbot, Oak Park, MI 48237 or left in the after-hours Drop Box located outside the Berkley Building Blocks office family entrance, 14700 W. Lincoln, Oak Park, MI 48237.
We accept payments with Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, checks or money orders made payable to Berkley School District, or cash. Contact Accounts Receivable at 248-837-8439 with any questions regarding your account.

We are currently enrolling for Fall 24-25 by reaching out to families on our waitlist. It is best to reach out early to get on the waitlist if you are interested. Once a spot is offered you may fill out the enrollment forms and send them to Andrea Megroet or drop them off to our drop box: Berkley Building Blocks Office, 14700 W. Lincoln, Oak Park, MI 48237.
We are also encouraging any families of students that are 4 years old to apply for free preschool: Free Preschool Qualification Form . You can select- Preschool - I have a specific preschool- Oak Park- and Avery Berkley Building Blocks.

Here at Berkley Building Blocks we prioritize Berkley School District residents. Please call or email to check for availability and be placed on a wait list. Enrollments are limited to the number for which the center is licensed. Follow the steps below to register your child with our program.

2. Submit Completed Forms

Once a spot is available: Print the enrollment forms or download the forms and fill them out digitally. Submit completed forms to Andrea Megroet or Berkley Building Blocks (14700 W. Lincoln, Oak Park, MI 48237)
3. Student Assigned to Classroom

Once the enrollment fee is received, the child is assigned to a classroom
