Greetings!

BHS College + Career Center is very excited to announce our partnership with the ASVAB Career Exploration Program, a free career planning tool that is comprised of two components:

  1. Aptitude Test

  2. Score Interpretation & Interest Assessment

Participation in the ASVAB Career Exploration Program is optional and open to any BHS students in grades 10-12 who are not sure about what they want to do after high school. Taking the ASVAB does not commit students to the military in any way.

  1. The Aptitude Test:  January 26th at 9:30 AM in the LMC.  This online test will take approximately 90 minutes.  You don’t have to do any preparation for the aptitude test. How much you have learned through the years will probably make the most difference in your results.  You can find practice test items here.

  2. The Score Interpretation & Interest Assessment: February 15th at 10:30 AM in the LMC.  During this 60 minute session, you will receive access to asvabprogram.com where you will get your score interpretation, complete an interest inventory and conduct career exploration activities.  The results are used to help you understand your unique skills and interests, identify potentially satisfying careers, and discover all the different ways to get to your dream job.  You will have access to the ASVAB portal for up to two years and should use this website with your family and school counselor to discuss post-secondary planning (life after BHS).
