A Great Start!

Rogers Update

Good Afternoon Rogers Family,

We have embarked on our first day of Safe Schools week for the 2022-2023 school year.  In school, we will spend time practicing drills and using child-friendly language for the different drills.  Today, Rogers students took a walk down Harvard to Lasalette Church to practice what to do if the power goes out, a gas line breaks, or there are sewer problems.  I have had the experience with two of three of these historically as a principal and practicing these drills allowed a smooth process when these events occured.  The students and staff did a great job on the walk down today and made it back all in short time.

We will continue to work through other drills this week and practicing other drills for fire and tornado safety throughout the school year.  I encourage you to talk to your students abour these drills as they happen throughout the week and year.  We will continue to support the students socially and emotionally and make all drills a learning experience.

Have a great day and thank you for your continued support!

Proud to be a Raccoon,

Mr. Gitler
