Rogers Kindergarten Students Connect with Waste Management Crew

Every Wednesday, Mrs. Mustonen and Mrs. Capuano’s Kindergarten classes stop what they are doing when the garbage truck comes. The Rogers students rush to the window, watch and wave. And every Wednesday, the Waste Management crew member beeps his horn and the children cheer. A few weeks ago, he told the teachers that this small moment is the highlight of his work week. So, on June 4th the students made signs and cards and went outside to watch the garbage get picked up. Mrs. Mustonen shared, “He got out of his truck to collect the cards and he was so sweet and so touched.”
