1/2 Day and Halloween Parade Update

Dear Angell Community

Tomorrow, Friday, October 29th, we will host our Annual Halloween Parade. We are encouraging all students to dress up for the half day of school. We will invite our students out at 9:00 am starting with our 5th graders. Our community is welcome to join us outside to watch the parade by standing on sidewalk or grassy area near the street. Students will parade around the streets surrounding the school. We will start at the corner of Bacon and Beverly and travel south down Bacon, west along Wiltshire, north on Cummings and east on Beverly. Our students will return to their classrooms for the remainder of the morning to enjoy other Halloween activities.

In the event we have inclement weather (the forecast is currently showing heavy rain), we will cancel the outside parade.  However, we do have an indoor parade route as a back-up plan so that students can still show off thier costumes to all of their school friends.  We will send out a mass email no later than 8:40 am tomorrow to confirm our plans.

Unfortunately, we can not invite our community in for this event, however, we will use our PTA Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AngellPTA) to LIVE STREAM the event starting at 9:00 am so you can still enjoy the event with us.

As a reminder, tomorrow is a half day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:20 am.

We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility.

Sincerely,
Vince Gigliotti
