BBB Celebrates Week of the Young Child

The Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children, in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) declared April 6-12, 2024 as the Week of the Young Child. To celebrate, Berkley Building Blocks students visited Berkley School District’s Administrative Offices on April 8. The students paraded around the building with musical instruments, wagons, and smiles on their faces while visiting with staff members.

NAEYC first established the Week of the Young Child® in 1971, recognizing that the early childhood years (birth through age 8) lay the foundation for children's success in school and later life.
