Rogers Elementary Celebrates Multicultural Day

On November 21, 2023, Rogers Elementary School celebrated its first Multicultural Day. The event turned the gymnasium into a global adventure for students and included a variety of diverse country-themed stations where students collected passport stamps at each “country” they visited. The “countries” were set up by Rogers families to share their heritage with the student body. Students were able to experience various cultural treats, play games, watch videos, and view an assortment of cultural items from countries such as China, Finland, Norway, and many more. This interactive journey highlighted Berkley's rich cultural diversity and allowed families to set up booths to provide a chance to experience their culture while encouraging students to embrace and learn about different traditions.
